Mechanically Tunable Mechanochromic Device with Covert‐Overt Structural Color and Modulation of its Transparency

This study presents a novel mechanically responsive optical device that modulates light transmission and generates iridescent structural colors under reflection. The optical transition arises from the exposure of nanoparticles upon stretching, which are initially embedded beneath the surface.

Local Surface Potential Modification of Few‐Layer MoS2 Via Optical Soldering Induced n‐Doping Process

We examine surface potential changes in optical soldering induced defect structures of few‐layer MoS2 using Kelvin probe microscope (KPFM). Surface potential measured by KPFM reveal that optical soldering induces n‐doping effect in few‐layer MoS2 with Fermi level shift toward conduction band edge.
