A combination of visible light and thermal energy accelerates the CO formation rate up to 57 times compared to dark conditions using a 3Cu/CeTiO2−x catalyst. Kinetic analysis, as well as steady state and transient spectroscopy, was applied under photocatalytic conditions to analyze and disentangle the reaction channels under dark and illuminated ...

The desire to map the universe in three dimensions has provided the main stimulus for the growth of one of the most successful industries in the history of modern astronomy: the surveying of galaxy redshifts. After the pioneering work of Slipher, Humason, Mayall, and others in the earlier half of the century, the completion of the redshift data base ...

We are currently carrying out a major redshift survey of 30000 QSOs using the 2dF facility on the Anglo-Australian Telescope. As of January 1998, over 1000 QSO redshifts have been obtained for the survey, making this the largest single homogeneous sample of QSOs yet compiled. When complete the survey will be used to provide important information on the

The Durham/UKST Galaxy Redshift Survey
1991We are currently engaged in a long-term project to make a redshift survey of ~ 4000 galaxies based on the Durham/ROE Southern Galaxy Catalogue (Collins et al., 1988) which is a COSMOS survey of the 2D distribution of b j > 20.5m galaxies over 60 UK Schmidt Telescope (UKST) fields.
