Bio‐Inspired Polymer Nanoreactor: Integrating Hemin Coordination and Micellar Confinement for Catalysis in Water

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This study develops an amphiphilic copolymer nanocarrier (P(His‐r‐Sty)‐b‐PDMAA) for aqueous hemin catalysis, enabling efficient styrene cyclopropanation (94.4% yield, 0.3 mol% hemin) with excellent recyclability (>90% activity after 4 cycles), overcoming solubility and microenvironment challenges.

Optically Switchable Fluorescence Enhancement at Critical Interparticle Distances

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
In this work, we present the results of a complete FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) model specifically tailored for the precise determination of critical interparticle distances yielding observable fluorescence enhancement. We further report an optical switch applied on a metal nanoparticle to actively control the radiative decay rate of a closely ...

Pressure‐Induced Ultralow Critical Micelle Concentration of Surfactant for Encapsulating Dye

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ultralow critical micelle concentration (CMC) is successfully achieved by pressure. Compared to 917.2 ± 8.7 µm for cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide at 0.10 MPa, the ultralow CMC at 0.80 GPa is a ≈111‐fold reduction for 8.3 ± 0.1 µm. The detection of ultralow CMC under pressure is owed to the pressure‐induced fluorescence quenching of the coumarin 35 ...
