Bayesian redshift-space distortions correction from galaxy redshift surveys [PDF]
AbstractWe present a Bayesian reconstruction method which maps a galaxy distribution from redshift- to real-space inferring the distances of the individual galaxies. The method is based on sampling density fields assuming a lognormal prior with a likelihood modelling non-linear stochastic bias.

This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Recovering the real-space correlation function from photometric redshift surveys
Measurements of clustering in large-scale imaging surveys that make use of photometric redshifts depend on the uncertainties in the redshift determination.

Object Classification in Astronomical Multi-Color Surveys [PDF]
We present a photometric method for identifying stars, galaxies and quasars in multi-color surveys, which uses a library of >65000 color templates. The method aims for extracting the information content of object colors in a statistically correct way and

The Unexplored Redshift Survey [PDF]
Redshift surveys remain an important constraint on cosmological parameters and a key to characterizing the nature and evolution of the large‐scale distribution of galaxies. I discuss redshift surveys as a route to exploration of other issues associated with large‐scale structure including the low surface brightness universe and the links between star ...

Local Redshift Surveys and Galaxy Evolution [PDF]
We present observations of galaxy environmental dependencies using data from the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey. From a combined analysis of the luminosity function, Butcher-Oemler effect and trends in H$ $ line strengths we find support for a model where galaxy properties are mainly set by initial conditions at the time of their formation.

High‐energy electron impact in plasma catalysis often causes excessive dissociation of active intermediates, limiting C2+ product selectivity. To address this challenge, a bio‐inspired stoma‐shell nanoarchitecture is designed to decouple electron impact from catalytic reaction zones.

The effects of spatial resolution on Integral Field Spectrograph surveys at different redshifts. The CALIFA perspective [PDF]
Over the past decade, 3D optical spectroscopy has become the preferred tool for understanding the properties of galaxies and is now increasingly used to carry out galaxy surveys. Low redshift surveys include SAURON, DiskMass, ATLAS3D, PINGS and VENGA. At

With approximately 6000 QSO redshifts, the 2dF QSO redshift survey is already the biggest complete QSO survey. The aim for the survey is to have 25000 QSO redshifts, providing an order of magnitude increase in QSO clustering statistics. We first describe the observational parameters of the 2dF QSO survey.

Infrared Nanocrystals for Space Application: Hardness to Irradiations
This article investigates infrared HgTe nanocrystals under X‐ray and ion irradiation, revealing remarkable radiation hardness. It uncovers distinct degradation mechanisms and shows that the nanomaterial outperforms integrated electronics. The results position colloidal nanocrystals as promising candidates for resilient space and harsh‐environment ...
