Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

Reduced Order Models for the Buckling of Hyperelastic Beams
In this paper, we discuss reduced order modelling approaches to bifurcating systems arising from continuum mechanics benchmarks. The investigation of the beam's deflection is a relevant topic of investigation with fundamental implications on their design for structural analysis and health.

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

POD-based reduced order modeling of dynamic systems
In this paper, we study reduced order modeling of dynamic structural systems through the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) technique. Principal component analysis is adopted to generate the reduced space, where the equations of motion of the system ...
