Reducing neonatal mortality rate with nurse‐midwives

Journal of Midwifery & Women's Health, 1971
ABSTRACTNewborn health indices were measured before, during, and after a demonstration nurse‐midwife program introduced to relieve a health manpower shortage at a county hospital in rural California. During the program, prenatal care increased, and prematurity and neonatal mortality rate decreased at the county hospital.

Evaluation of Reduced Rates and Reduced Rates Plus Dipel for Pinworm Control, 1977

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1978
Abstract Plots were planted with seed-lings (1 plant/ft) June 15, 1977, in Rockdale soil. Each plot was a single, 15-ft-long row on a 6-ft center. There were 4 replications per treatment in a completely random design. Treatments were applied weekly from June 17 to July 29 with a tractor-mounted sprayer with 5 nozzles per row.

Reducing Uncertainty of Low-Sampling-Rate Trajectories

2012 IEEE 28th International Conference on Data Engineering, 2012
The increasing availability of GPS-embedded mobile devices has given rise to a new spectrum of location-based services, which have accumulated a huge collection of location trajectories. In practice, a large portion of these trajectories are of low-sampling-rate. For instance, the time interval between consecutive GPS points of some trajectories can be
