Reduced Feedback Rate Schemes for Transmit Antenna Selection With Alamouti Coding
In this paper, we propose and analyze two novel reduced feedback rate schemes for transmit antenna selection (TAS) for multiple-input multiple-output systems.

Reduced Apoptosis Rates in Human Schwannomas [PDF]
Schwannomas, tumors originating from Schwann cells, represent a frequent neurological tumor and can occur both in a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) and sporadically. In both cases the genetic background is identical as all schwannomas are caused by biallelic mutations in the tumor suppressor gene NF2 coding for merlin.

ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

On the Computation Rate of All-Reduce
In the All-Reduce problem, each one of the K nodes holds an input and wishes to compute the sum of all K inputs through a communication network where each pair of nodes is connected by a parallel link with arbitrary bandwidth. The computation rate of All-Reduce is defined as the number of sum instances that can be computed over each network use.

ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

Anxiety disorders are associated with reduced heart rate variability: A meta-analysis
Background: Anxiety disorders increase risk of future cardiovascular disease (CVD) and mortality, even after controlling for confounds including smoking, lifestyle, and socioeconomic status, and irrespective of a history of medical disorders.

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Determinants of short-period heart rate variability in the general population [PDF]
Decreased heart rate variability (HRV) is associated with a worse prognosis in a variety of diseases and disorders. We evaluated the determinants of short-period HRV in a random sample of 149 middle-aged men and 137 women from the general population ...
