Categorifying reduced rings

open access: yesQuantum Topology, 2023
Given a domain of characteristic zero R , we functorially construct a rigid symmetric monoidal dg-category whose K_{0} is R , solving a problem of Khovanov. We also functorially construct, for any reduced commutative ring R ,

Armendariz and Reduced Rings

open access: yesCommunications in Algebra, 2004
Abstract A ring R is called Armendariz if, whenever in R[x], a i b j  = 0 for all i and j. In this paper, some “relatively maximal” Armendariz subrings of matrix rings are identified, and a necessary and sufficient condition for a trivial extension to be Armendariz is obtained. Consequently, new families of Armendariz rings are presented.

Feckly reduced rings

Hacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, 2015
Let R be a ring with identity and J(R) denote the Jacobson radical of R. In this paper, we introduce a new class of rings called feckly reduced rings. The ring R is called feckly reduced if R=J(R) is a reduced ring. We investigate relations between feckly reduced rings and other classes of rings.

A GENERALIZATION OF REDUCED RINGS

Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, 2012
For a ring derivation δ, we introduce and investigate a generalization of reduced rings and Armendariz rings which we call a δ-Armendariz ring. Various classes of δ-Armendariz rings is provided and a number of properties of this generalization are established.

Extensions of Generalized Reduced Rings

Algebra Colloquium, 2005
Anderson and Camillo studied the class of rings satisfying ZCn for n ≥ 2, which is a generalization of reduced rings. In this paper, we continue the study of such rings. We observe several extensions of rings satisfying ZCn. Rings satisfying the zero insertion property for n (simply, ZIn), which is a generalization of ZCn, are also introduced.
