Catalytic nitrate reduction: kinetic investigations
2000The formation of nitrite and nitrous oxide as intermediates during nitrate reduction with different bimetallic catalysts was examined. It is shown, that with increasing pH value intermediate nitrite formation rises, whereas nitrous oxide formation decreases.

Zirconia carbothermal reduction: Non-isothermal kinetics
International Journal of Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, 2009Abstract The kinetics of carbothermic reduction of zirconia was studied by non-isothermal TGA with heating rate 10 °C min −1 under Argon flowing. The zirconia and reaction products were analyzed by XRD method. The model-fitting kinetic approach has been applied to TGA data. The reaction mechanism for carbothermal reduction of zirconia was determined

Reduction Kinetics of Ag2MoO4 by Hydrogen
Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, 2008Ag2O and MoO3 powders were mechanically (ball) milled with the objective of obtaining a Ag2MoO4 phase for subsequent reduction with hydrogen gas. A thermogravimetric unit was used to follow the course of the reduction process aiming at the chemical reaction as the rate controlling step.

Kinetics of ferrocyanide reduction of quinones
The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1968We describe here the kinetics of ferrocyanide reduction of 2,5-dichloro-, benzo-, and 2,5-dimethylquinones (denoted below by I, II, III) in 1 M KCl. Reagent materials were used where available and the hydroquinones of I and III were synthesized by SnCl_2 reduction and recrystallization.

Kinetic Studies on Peroxynitrite Reduction by Peroxiredoxins
2008Peroxiredoxins catalytically reduce peroxynitrite to nitrite. The peroxidatic cysteine of peroxiredoxins reacts rapidly with peroxynitrite. The rate constant of that reaction can be measured using a stopped flow spectrophotometer either directly by following peroxynitrite disappearance in the region of 300 to 310 nm using an initial rate approach or ...

Reduction kinetics of NiO-MoO3 catalysts
Reaction Kinetics and Catalysis Letters, 1985Reduction kinetics of NiO−MoO3 catalysts in H2 at 573–723 K has been studied. Reduction activation energies Ea have been determined. The degree of NiO−MoO3 reduction is shown to increase with increasing NiO content.

Kinetics of gaseous reduction of ilmenite
Journal of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology, 1975AbstractNatural Australian beach sand ilmenites and their preoxidised derivatives were reduced to metallic iron and titanium oxides by carbon monoxide at temperatures in the range 800–1200 °C. Particular care was taken to maintain a constant driving force for reduction using small samples and high gas flow rates.
