Patterns of Postmastectomy Radiotherapy in Immediate Breast Reconstruction—Results From the iBRA‐2 Cohort Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Breast Cancer, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Purpose Long‐term data indicate that postmastectomy radiotherapy (PMRT) is associated with improved overall survival in node‐positive breast cancer patients. Immediate breast reconstruction (IBR) remains controversial in the context of planned PMRT, but rates of IBR are increasing.

Linear and Area Coverage With Closed Incision Negative Pressure Therapy Management: International Multidisciplinary Consensus Recommendations

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Closed incision negative pressure therapy (ciNPT) with foam dressings has received broad recognition for its ability to support incision healing for a variety of surgical procedures. Oncoplastic breast surgery versus conventional breast‐conserving surgery: a comparative retrospective study

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, Volume 89, Issue 10, Page 1236-1241, October 2019., 2019
Oncoplastic breast surgery is oncologically safe, allows large resection volumes, achieving more frequently clear margins. The re‐excision rates are three times lower than with conventional surgery group. The need for additional surgery is drastically reduced.

Extreme Oncoplastic Surgery for Multifocal/Multicentric and Locally Advanced Breast Cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Breast Cancer, Volume 2019, Issue 1, 2019., 2019
Introduction. Breast conserving surgery (BCS) followed by radiation therapy (RT) has become the preferred alternative to mastectomy for patients with early stage breast cancer (BC). Randomized trials have confirmed equivalent locoregional control and overall survival for BCS and mastectomy.

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, Volume 94, Issue 12, Page 2140-2149, December 2024.
Changes to the tumour bed following oncoplastic surgery complicate the administration of adjuvant radiotherapy. A framework for tumour bed classification is proposed (OPSURGE) to aid communication between oncoplastic surgeons and radiation oncologists, particularly when using a boost dose to the primary tumour site. Abstract Introduction Changes to the
