The Use of Hydrogen as a Potential Reductant in the Chromite Smelting Industry
The chromium (Cr) content of stainless steel originates from recycled scrap and/or ferrochrome (FeCr), which is mainly produced by the carbothermic reduction of chromite ore. Ever-increasing pressure on FeCr producers to curtail carbon emissions justifies migration from traditional FeCr production routes.

A recycling approach of spent lithium‐ion batteries is developed using brewing wastewater as the leaching agent and an engineering microbial consortium as the biocatalyst. Shewanella oneidensis reduces spent LiNixCoyMn1‐x‐yO2 cathodes via extracellular electron transfer, while Bacillus subtilis removes residual ethanol to eliminate inhibition.

Mixing method directly governs interface engineering and electrode morphology during the dry coating of all‐solid‐state battery cathodes. While high‐shear batch mixing yields poor electrode quality and lacks core–shell‐like features, continuous extruder mixing enables strong binder fibrillation and a core–shell‐like coating between the active material ...

ABSTRACT This study investigates how directors with environmental protection (EP) backgrounds influence corporate biodiversity concern (BIO) among Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2008 to 2023. Drawing on Upper Echelons Theory, we argue that directors' environmental expertise shapes firms' biodiversity strategies.
