ABSTRACT This study examines how plastics manufacturing firms can be classified according to their level of implementation of circular economy (CE) and industrial symbiosis (IS) practices and how such adoption influences sustainability performance. Using data from plastics manufacturing firms, we integrate cluster analysis with partial least squares ...

Improved Ant Colony Optimization For Solving Reliability Redundancy Allocation Problems
This paper presents an improved ant colony optimization (IACO) for solving the reliability redundancy allocation problem (RAP) in order to maximize system reliability. To improve the performance of ACO algorithm, two additional techniques, i.e. neighborhood search, and re-initialization process are presented.

A Memtic genetic algorithm for a redundancy allocation problem
In general redundancy allocation problems the redundancy strategy for each subsystem is predetermined. Tavakkoli- Moghaddam presented a series-parallel redundancy allocation problem with mixing components (RAPMC) in which the redundancy strategy can be chosen for individual subsystems. In this paper, we present a bi-objective redundancy allocation when

Corporate Sustainability Transition: Methodological Analysis for a Rating Model
ABSTRACT This study introduces a new rating model for the evaluation of corporate sustainability, addressing the inconsistencies and divergences that characterize current ESG assessment systems. The model is hierarchically structured, comprising 99 indicators organized into 19 modules, and is designed to be adaptable by sector and firm size.

International Trade with Endogenous Technological Change [PDF]
To explain why trade restrictions sometimes speed up worldwide growth and sometimes slow it down, we exploit an analogy with the theory of consumer behavior.

A two-phase linear programming approach for redundancy allocation problems
Provision of redundant components in parallel is an efficient way to increase the system reliability, however, the weight, volume and cost of the system will increase simultaneously. This paper proposes a new two-phase linear programming approach for solving the nonlinear redundancy allocation problems subject to multiple linear constraints.
