A redundant variable scaling CORDIC rotation engine implementation
[1991] Proceedings of the 34th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002The CMOS implementation of a high-performance rotation processor using redundant CORDIC is described in detail. This design replaces carry-propagate addition with carry-save addition, which is a fast form of parallel addition. Characteristics of 1.2- mu m CMOS implementations are given. >

Redundant backup and diagnostic system of MPM-20 engine
2013 IEEE 14th International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Informatics (CINTI), 2013Progressive development of turbojet engine requires focus not only on improving performance, but also high reliability and safety are very important. That's why we put more and more emphasis on concepts like diagnostics and backup, which represent the basic techniques and methods that contribute to increased safety of any complex system.

Based on Non-Redundant Electronic Scale Engineering Development Theory
Advanced Materials Research, 2014This paper regards combinatorial techniques for electronic engineering design based on the mathematical apparatus of Non Redundant Scales theory (NRS theory).Combinatorial techniques is known to be of widespread applicability, and has been extremely effective when applied to the problem of finding the optimum ordered arrangement of structural elements ...

Redundancy of meta search servers in a distributed search engine
17th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications, 2003. AINA 2003., 2003We have developed a distributed search engine, called Cooperative Search Engine (CSE), in order to retrieve fresh information. In CSE, a local search engine located in each Web server makes an index of local pages. A meta search server integrates these local search engines in order to realize a global search engine.

A Meta-search Engine with Hits Redundancies Filtering
2008Searching information on the Web can be viewed as extremely easy, or it can be extremely difficult. This is because the WWW is not indexed like many library catalogs or journal-article indexes. When we search on the Web, we are not searching it directly but are actually searching the Web pages collected and indexed by a search tool from computers all ...

Optimal redundancy allocation problems in engineering systems with dependent component lifetimes
Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, 2015This paper deals with the problem of allocating spare components for improving the system reliability when lifetimes of components are dependent. Two policies, called active and standby redundancies, are investigated in details. The optimal allocations are given without specific assumptions on the dependency structure among the component lifetimes ...

Identifying Empirically Important Variables in IC Engine Operation Through Redundancy Analysis
2020Computational studies incur engineering costs. While direct numerical simulations can provide detailed solutions, they cannot deliver quick and convenient solutions which are pragmatic for industry applications such as fault detection and diagnosis. But in the study of internal combustion engines, there are no such unified models that can completely ...
