Sibling rivalry: Related bacterial small RNAs and their redundant and non-redundant roles
Small RNA molecules (sRNAs) are now recognized as key regulators controlling bacterial gene expression, as sRNAs provide a quick and efficient means of positively or negatively altering the expression of specific genes.

Dynamic Mutant Subsumption Analysis using LittleDarwin
Many academic studies in the field of software testing rely on mutation testing to use as their comparison criteria. However, recent studies have shown that redundant mutants have a significant effect on the accuracy of their results.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

On the Heisenberg condition in the presence of redundant poles of the S-matrix
For the same potential as originally studied by Ma [Phys. Rev. {\bf 71}, 195 (1947)] we obtain analytic expressions for the Jost functions and the residui of the S-matrix of both (i) redundant poles and (ii) the poles corresponding to true bound states ...

Self-Stabilizing Token Distribution with Constant-Space for Trees [PDF]
Self-stabilizing and silent distributed algorithms for token distribution in rooted tree networks are given. Initially, each process of a graph holds at most l tokens.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

High-Rate Redundant Space-Time Coding
We present a new space-time encoder based on packet-level redundancy which can increase the space-time encoder rate beyond unity without compromising diversity gains.

The kinematics of hyper-redundant robot locomotion [PDF]
This paper considers the kinematics of hyper-redundant (or “serpentine”) robot locomotion over uneven solid terrain, and presents algorithms to implement a variety of “gaits”.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
