We construct the smallest Ree-Tits unital from a group of matrices that is isomorphic to the commutator group of the corresponding Ree group. The matrix description is used to determine configurations in the unital via explicit computations. Embeddings into larger Ree-Tits unitals are made explicit.

Abstract Historical biogeography faces a persistent conceptual and methodological dilemma concerning the nature of its central analytical units. Using the recent proposal by Schultz and Cracraft (Cladistics 40, 653) as a catalyst, this article critiques the argument that causal inference necessitates the replacement of areas of endemism with barriers ...

Representation of obligate groundwater‐dwelling copepod diversity in European protected areas
Abstract Groundwaters sustain diverse surface ecosystems and are populated by metazoan species, mostly invertebrates, that provide fundamental ecological functions and are often of prominent conservation value due to narrow endemism and high phylogenetic rarity.

Tracking the impact of bottom trawling on benthic habitat status
Abstract Bottom trawling is the most widespread physical disturbance to marine benthic habitats, yet broadscale assessments of its impact remain limited. We developed a quantitative framework to evaluate trawling effects on benthic habitats at broad spatial scales based on the sentinels of seabed (SoS) indicator.

MRI, Child Opportunity Index, and 4‐year cognitive outcome after neonatal encephalopathy
Abstract Aim To evaluate the association of neonatal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Child Opportunity Index (COI) with 4‐year cognitive outcomes after neonatal encephalopathy. Method This was a cross‐sectional analysis of 4‐year outcomes (interquartile range [IQR] = 48–52 months) in a single‐center prospective cohort of term neonatal ...

Dutch disease, unemployment and structural change
Abstract We find that Dutch disease effects on unemployment are small even in a commodity‐rich economy like Australia. Using an estimated open‐economy model with frictional unemployment, we quantify how business‐cycle shocks and structural changes shape aggregate unemployment.

Intangible Value Creation Through Teamwork
ABSTRACT Using a sample of US firms from 1993 to 2023, comprising 38,502 firm‐year observations, we find that collaboration culture positively correlates with intangible value creation. We identify corporate innovation and human capital as the mechanisms via which collaboration correlates with intangible value creation.
