Permanently Weak Amenability of Rees Semigroup Algebras [PDF]
In this paper, we consider n-weak amenability of full matrix algebras and we prove that the Rees semigroup algebra is permanently weakly amenable.

On Rees algebras of 2‐determinantal ideals [PDF]
AbstractLet be the ideal of minors of a matrix of linear forms with the expected codimension. In this paper, we prove that the Rees algebra of and its special fiber ring are Cohen–Macaulay and Koszul; in particular, they are quadratic algebras.

An ideal \(I\) of an algebra \(A\) with \(0\) is called a Rees ideal if \(I^2 \cup \omega _A\), \(\omega _A\) the diagonal of \(A\), is a congruence on \(A\). An algebra \(A\) is a Rees ideal algebra if every ideal of \(A\) is a Rees ideal. It is proved that a variety \(\mathcal V\) with \(0\) is a Rees ideal variety (each member of \(\mathcal V\) is a

Algebras for parameterised monads [PDF]
Parameterised monads have the same relationship to adjunctions with parameters as monads do to adjunctions. In this paper, we investigate algebras for parameterised monads. We identify the Eilenberg-Moore category of algebras for parameterised monads and

Almost nilpotent Lie algebras [PDF]
Throughout we shall consider only finite-dimensional Lie algebras over a field of characteristic zero. In [3] it was shown that the classes of solvable and of supersolvable Lie algebras of dimension greater than two are characterised by the structure of ...

Matrix representations of finite semigroups over fields are studied not so well as for finite groups. Representations of finite groups over fields are studied sufficiently well; in particular, the criterions of representation type are fully defined for ...

We study almost complete intersections ideals whose Rees algebras are extremal in the sense that some of their fundamental metrics---depth or relation type---have maximal or minimal values in the class. The focus is on those ideals that lead to almost Cohen--Macaulay algebras and our treatment is wholly concentrated on the nonlinear relations of the ...

What is the Rees algebra of a module? [PDF]
In this paper we show that the Rees algebra can be made into a functor on modules over a ring in a way that extends its classical definition for ideals. The Rees algebra of a module M M

Systems with the integer rounding property in normal monomial subrings
Let C be a clutter and let A be its incidence matrix. If the linear system x > 0; x A < 1 has the integer rounding property, we give a description of the canonical module and the a-invariant of certain normal subrings associated to C. If the clutter is a

Elementary Lie Algebras and Lie A-Algebras. [PDF]
A finite-dimensional Lie algebra L over a field F is called elementary if each of its subalgebras has trivial Frattini ideal; it is an A-algebra if every nilpotent subalgebra is abelian. The present paper is primarily concerned with the classification of
