External validity of inferred attribute non‐attendance: Evidence from a laboratory experiment with real and hypothetical payoffs

Infrastructure expansion, tourism and electoral outcomes

Abstract This paper examines the electoral impact of economic growth through increased foreign tourism using data from Croatia. To identify causal effects, the paper applies an instrumental variable strategy, which uses variation in the ruggedness of the local terrain to estimate the network of least‐cost paths.

Representative policymakers? A behavioural experiment with French politicians

Reputation and Asset Prices: Evidence From Trump Real Estate

ABSTRACT We analyze the impact of brand reputation on asset prices by exploiting the prominence of Donald Trump in Manhattan real estate. Our quasi‐experiment identifies a 14.5% discount to condominiums in Trump‐branded buildings after controversies surrounding Trump's presidential candidacy began in June 2015 up to 2022.
