Disposable reference electrode

The Analyst, 1998
A disposable reference electrode was developed which can be used for environmental and medical analysis. It is an Ag/AgCl electrode with an integrated junction, prepared using inexpensive materials such as glass-fibre filter medium and heat-sealing film with screen printing and encapsulating by lamination.

Reference Electrodes in Dimethylformamide

Analytical Letters, 1983
Abstract An investigation of an Ag/Ag+ reference electrode in dimethylformamide solution is reported. Simple preparation, fast response and high exchange current density characterize this reference electrode. The stability of the electrode with time and its temperature coefficient were also studied.

Pseudo-reference Electrodes

2013
Both the terms of pseudo-reference (literally “false” reference) electrode and quasi-reference (“almost” or “essentially”) electrode are used in the literature, often synonymously or interchangeably. The essential difference between a true reference electrode (as defined in Chap.

Reference electrodes based on conducting polymers

Fresenius' Journal of Analytical Chemistry, 2000
Several attempts to produce conducting polymer based all-solid-state reference electrodes are presented. Open circuit potential of conducting polymers is redox sensitive and Donan equilibrium dependent. Therefore, more sophisticated constructions are necessary.

Micro-reference Electrodes

2013
Rapid and accurate determination of ions in solutions is an increasing demand in medicine, research, routine work in laboratories as well as in process control. The development of portable chemical analysers is dependent on the ability to miniaturise the sensors.

A balanced non-cephalic reference electrode

Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1951
Abstract A method is described for minimizing cardiac potential by balancing the voltage between two points on opposite sides of the heart. Advantage can be taken of the cancellation thus obtained to utilize the base of the neck as a common reference for EEG recording.

Application of Ion-Selective Electrodes as Reference Electrodes

Analytical Letters, 1979
Abstract Reference electrodes limiting interfering effects of conventional reference electrodes on the measurement involving ion-selective electrodes have been developed. They are constructed of a plastic body with porous plug or sleeve junction. Solid state, low impedance, ion-selective electrodes (cupric, cadmium, fluoride) in the equilibrium of ...

Fluoride-selective electrode with internal redox reference electrode

Mikrochimica Acta, 1995
The potential response of a symmetrical configuration in which the LaF3-membrance is placed between two solutions is discussed. The electrode body provides contact with the inner surface of the fluoride membrane, with a solution containing Fe(CN)63- - Fe(CN)64- redox couple and a Pt wire as internal reference electrode.

Reference electrodes for voltammetry in acetonitrile

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1961
The saturated calomel electrode is the reference electrode in aqueous polarographic studies. Such is not the case, however, with nonaqueous polarographic studies. In particular acetonitrile has been used as the solvent for many polarographic studies with just as many reference electrodes.
