Reference evapotranspiration changes in Slovenia, Europe
Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, 2018Abstract Evapotranspiration is an important element of the water cycle and possible trends in the evapotranspiration can, among others, influence on the water management and agricultural production. Since actual evapotranspiration values are rare and difficult to estimate, reference evapotranspiration was examined in order to document changes in the ...

Estimating Reference Crop Evapotranspiration with ETgages
Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 2009Three years of daily reference evapotranspiration measured by atmometers ( ETg ) were compared to the values computed from the ASCE standardized Penman–Monteith equation ( ETr ) using co-located me...

ESTIMATING REFERENCE EVAPOTRANSPIRATION WITH AN ATMOMETER
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 2001Measurement or estimation of crop water use is important in scheduling irrigations for efficient water management. Atmometers have been used to measure evaporation, but recent models have not been tested against evapotranspiration (ET) estimated from weather data.

Precipitation and reference evapotranspiration are two important variables in hydrologic analyses, agricultural crop production, determining actual crop evapotranspiration and irrigation water requirements, and irrigation management. Both variables vary in space and time, and the weather networks that measure or quantify and report both variables are ...

Agricultural Water Management, 2020
Abstract Potential evapotranspiration (ETp) and reference crop evapotranspiration (ETo) differ in their developments, concepts, equations and application fields, however, many researchers have mixed the utilization of the two terms. Thus, it is necessary to clarify the terms to guide their proper usage.

Evolutionary algorithm for reference evapotranspiration analysis
Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, 2018Abstract Evapotranspiration of important indicator for management and planning of water resources. It is essential to analyze the evapotranspiration in order to improve water resources planning. The main goal of the study was to analyze the evapotranspiration based on several input parameters.

Forecasting weekly reference crop evapotranspiration series
Hydrological Sciences Journal, 1995Abstract Evapotranspiration (ET) is an important process in the hydrological cycle and needs to be accurately quantified for proper irrigation scheduling and optimal water resources systems operation. The time variant characteristics of ET necessitate the need for forecasting ET. In this paper, two techniques, namely a seasonal ARIMA model and Winter's

Modified Bellani plate atmometer has been offered as an alternative and simpler technique to combination-based equations to estimate evapotranspiration ~ET! rate from green grass surface. However, there is a lack of information on its' accuracy in humid climates. The evaporation rate sEAd from one type of atmometer marketed under the brand name ETgage®

Accuracy of reference evapotranspiration forecast
2000The ability to forecast reference evapotranspiration (ETo) accurately greatly enhances our ability to manage the irrigation of high-frequency irrigation systems. If the synoptic and mesoscale models are accurate, then ETo predictions from the forecasts are likely to be more accurate than statistical models.
