Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

We argue that goals serve as reference points and alter outcomes in a manner consistent with the value function of Prospect Theory (Kahneman & Tversky, 1979; Tversky & Kahneman, 1992). We present new evidence that goals inherit the properties of the value function-not only a reference point, but also loss aversion and diminishing sensitivity.

GEO-SONIC (1988) is an artwork for computer that explores sound, language and geographics. It is a collage of sounds, speech and calligraphy from around the world that leads the participant in associative global dreams and journeys. Sounds sampled by the artists are digitized and played back, juxtaposed with on-screen visual imagery (by use of a track ...

The anterior point of reference
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1979Three points in space determine the position of the maxillary cast in an articulator. The dentist is most frequently concerned with selecting the posterior two of the three reference points. In addition, the dentist will, either consciously or unknowingly, select the anterior of these points of reference.

The gender reference point gap
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2023This paper examines how men and women differ in their attitudes towards taking risks. In many studies women have been found to be less willing to take risks than men, and this gender difference can have an impact on economic opportunities and outcomes for women.

83. It should now be apparent that the familiar problems of reference and modality can be satisfactorily resolved without either abandoning substitutivity of identity in modal contexts or invoking an intensional ontology. It might be argued, however, that the suggested resolution avoids invoking an intensional ontology only because the modal predicates,

Contracts as reference points: A replication
International Review of Law and Economics, 2020Abstract We replicate two treatments of an experimental theory test ( Fehr et al., 2011 ) studying Hart and Moore (2008) ’s idea that contracts serve as reference points in trading relationships. In contrast to rigid contracts, flexible contract terms may be perceived in a self-serving manner and, therefore, the contract parties might form ...

Reference-Point Formation and Updating
Management Science, 2011Reference-dependent preferences have been well accepted in decision sciences, experimental economics, behavioral finance, and marketing. However, we still know very little about how decision makers form and update their reference points given a sequence of information.
