Refined hyperbolic shear deformation plate theory
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2014The paper presents a novel shear deformation plate theory involving only two variables. Refinement of shear theory of laminar orthotropic sloping shells

A second-approximation model is proposed, allowing this effect to be described on the basis of an approach invariant with respect to the number of layers in the system and allowing the distortion of the normal in the course of shell deformation to be taken into account.

Analytical solution of a refined shear deformation theory for rectangular composite plates
International Journal of Solids and Structures, 1987The Lévy type solution procedure in conjunction with the state-space concept is used to determine the deflections and stresses for symmetric laminated composite plates with rectangular geometries by using a refined shear deformation theory. Combinations of simply supported, clamped and free boundary conditions are considered.
