On the Weyl Tensor Classification in All Dimensions and its Relation with Integrability Properties
In this paper the Weyl tensor is used to define operators that act on the space of forms. These operators are shown to have interesting properties and are used to classify the Weyl tensor, the well known Petrov classification emerging as a special case ...

A mechanically tunable hydrogel composed of gelatin, chondroitin sulfate and laminin promotes angiogenesis in vitro without the supplement of growth factors. Endothelial cells morphogenesis was further enhanced by medium conditioned with bioactive glass 58S‐released ions (Ca and Si), thus offering a promising strategy to vascularize 3D tissue ...

State-space Levy solution for size-dependent static, free vibration and buckling behaviours of functionally graded sandwich plates [PDF]
The size-dependent static, free vibration and buckling behaviours of functionally graded (FG) sandwich plates are analysed in this study. Utilising the modified couple stress theory and variational principle, governing equations of motion are developed ...

Anomalous Stiffening of a Conjugated Polymer During Electrochemical Oxidation
The electromechanical response of a thienothiophene‐based conjugated polymer with triethylene glycol side chains is investigated. Electrochemical nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy reveal a modest and reversible increase in elastic modulus at room temperature upon electrochemical oxidation.

Double scaling and intermittency in shear dominated flows
The Refined Kolmogorov Similarity Hypothesis is a valuable tool for the description of intermittency in isotropic conditions. For flows in presence of a substantial mean shear, the nature of intermittency changes since the process of energy transfer is ...
