Broadband Optimization of Reflectarray Antennas
2019 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2019This paper presents the broadband design method for reflectarray (RA) antennas. The differential evolution (DE) algorithm has been applied to balance the spatial phase delay errors in the whole work band. A RA antenna consisted of split ring elements has been proposed to validate the method.

An Amplifying Reconfigurable Reflectarray Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2012Electronically tunable reflectarrays and amplifying reflectarrays have attracted considerable research in recent years, however, little work has been done to combine these two features simultaneously in a single design. This paper focuses on the design of such a reflectarray, which can be used as a high gain, reconfigurable transmitting antenna for ...

Design of Wideband Reflectarray Antennas
2020 14th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2020The method providing bandwidth increasing of reflect array antennas is proposed. The main idea of this method is to compensate phase errors by means of the spatial separation of layers with reflective elements. A full-metal reflectarray antenna has been designed with the use of the proposed method, manufactured and tested.

Dual-Frequency Folded Reflectarray Antenna
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013Design and experimental results of a dual-frequency folded reflector antenna are presented. With an effective diameter of 180 mm and a depth of 60 mm, gain values of 25 and 30 dB at 20 and 30 GHz, respectively, have been achieved. Beamwidths are 6.2° at 20 GHz and 3.7°/4° at 30 GHz.

Microstrip Reflectarray Antenna Program.
1977Abstract : Results of a study to determine the feasibility and design limitations of a microstrip reflectarray antenna are presented. This antenna, which has been proposed as a means to provide potential low-cost corporate-fed phased arrays, utilizes microwave integrated circuit techniques to integrate the radiating element, phase-shifter components ...

Characterizing reflectarray antennas radiation performance
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/CNC/URSI North American Radio Sci. Meeting (Cat. No.03CH37450), 2004A reflectarray utilizes key features of reflector antennas and phased array antennas by allowing a feed to illuminate its planar main reflector's array elements to produce a collimating beam. Consequently, this mechanism eliminates the feed-network as required in phased-array antennas.

Micromachined reconfigurable planar reflectarray antenna
2nd European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2007), 2007In applications such as target tracking the ability to steer the radiation pattern produced by an antenna is required. This can be achieved using reconfigurable reflector antennas based on a planar array of dipole elements immersed in a circularly polarised field.
