Bandwidth Enhancement of Dielectric Resonator Reflectarray Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesElectromagnetics, 2014
Aperture-coupled dielectric resonator antenna is proposed using a novel reflectarray antenna unit cell structure. It is shown that a bowtie-shaped slot can enhance the bandwidth performance of a reflectarray antenna. The unit cell's reflection phase response was verfified experimentally using the waveguide simulator method.

Wide‐Angle Scanning Array With Sidelobe Reduction Using Single Substrate Layer

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Without the need for amplitude weighting, the proposed array can achieve beam scanning from −70° to 70° with a gain fluctuation of less than 0.8 dB while maintaining sidelobe levels below −11 dB. The proposed array has the advantages of simple structure, wide beam coverage, low gain fluctuation, and low sidelobe level.

Design of an Energy Selective Reflectarray Antenna for Adaptive Prevention of High‐Intensity Radiation Fields

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This work presents an adaptive reflectarray for the high‐intensity radiation fields (HIRF) prevention in X‐band, thereby reducing the risk of interference or damage to front‐ends, receiving links, and other electronic components. ABSTRACT This paper presents an energy selective reflectarray antenna with field‐induced gain to prevent the high‐intensity ...

Design and Characterisation of All‐Dielectric Metasurface Reflector for mmWave Antennas

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This study presents an all‐dielectric artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) operating at 77 GHz with zero‐phase reflection, featuring a −1‐dB reflection bandwidth of 3.6 and 8.2 GHz for ± 45° and ± 90° reflection phases, respectively. Simulation and measurement results validate the design's performance while highlighting discrepancies attributed to ...
