1‐Bit reconfigurable reflectarray antenna with T‐shaped parasitic structure

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation
In this paper, an electronically 1‐bit reconfigurable reflectarray antenna (RRA) with wide‐angle beam‐scanning and high efficiency performance is presented for formation satellite communication applications. A 1‐bit phase distribution can be generated by

Three‐dimensional metal‐only phoenix cell and its application for reflectarrays

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation
A 3D metal‐only waveguide‐based phoenix cell for reflectarray is presented. The proposed cell consists of two concentric square waveguides and a metallic block in the centre, which offers two operation modes. The first mode uses its cross section to tune

Broadband, Single‐Layered, and Optically Transparent Reflective Phase‐Shifting‐Surface Array for Beam Manipulation and Enhanced Wireless Communications

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
Optically transparent electromagnetic devices play a crucial role in modern society, yet conventional optically transparent millimeter‐wave devices suffer from high return loss, limited phase shift, narrow bandwidth, high profile, and low optical ...

Efficient Spectral Domain MoM for the Design of Circularly Polarized Reflectarray Antennas Made of Split Rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The method of moments (MoM) in the spectral domain is used for the analysis of the scattering of a plane wave by a multilayered periodic structure containing conducting concentric split rings in the unit cell.

Modified Phoenix cell for microstrip reflectarray antennas [PDF]

open access: yes2013 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2012
This paper presents a modification on the structure of a recently proposed microstrip reflectarray cell, called Phoenix [4]. Phoenix cell was developed to operate in the X-band frequency range for a linearly polarized microstrip reflectarray antenna.

Radiation Analysis and Characteristics of Conformal Reflectarray Antennas

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2012
This paper investigates the feasibility of designing reflectarray antennas on conformal surfaces. A generalized analysis approach is presented that can be applied to compute the radiation performance of conformal reflectarray antennas.

Folded reflectarray antenna

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1998
A novel folded reflectarray antenna is presented. This antenna combines a twist and focusing reflector concept in a single printed structure. Together with a printed grid, a low profile and high gain antenna results. A test antenna in the 20 GHz range was designed, fabricated and tested.
