Reflectarray Antenna at Terahertz Using Graphene

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013
The use of graphene for fixed-beam reflectarray antennas at Terahertz (THz) is proposed. Graphene's unique electronic band structure leads to a complex surface conductivity at THz frequencies, which allows the propagation of very slow plasmonic modes. This leads to a drastic reduction of the electrical size of the array unit cell and thereby good array

Design of Ka-band Reflectarray Antennas for High Resolution SAR Instrument

European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
The design of polarization selective reflectarrays for high resolution and wide swath SAR instrument in Ka-band is presented. The antenna system consists of nine dual-offset reflectarray panels, each with the size of $1.5\mathrm{m} \times0.55\mathrm{m}$.

Broadband Optimization of Reflectarray Antennas

2019 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2019
This paper presents the broadband design method for reflectarray (RA) antennas. The differential evolution (DE) algorithm has been applied to balance the spatial phase delay errors in the whole work band. A RA antenna consisted of split ring elements has been proposed to validate the method.

An Amplifying Reconfigurable Reflectarray Antenna

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2012
Electronically tunable reflectarrays and amplifying reflectarrays have attracted considerable research in recent years, however, little work has been done to combine these two features simultaneously in a single design. This paper focuses on the design of such a reflectarray, which can be used as a high gain, reconfigurable transmitting antenna for ...

Dual-Frequency Folded Reflectarray Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013
Design and experimental results of a dual-frequency folded reflector antenna are presented. With an effective diameter of 180 mm and a depth of 60 mm, gain values of 25 and 30 dB at 20 and 30 GHz, respectively, have been achieved. Beamwidths are 6.2° at 20 GHz and 3.7°/4° at 30 GHz.
