Microstrip Reflectarray Antenna Program.
1977Abstract : Results of a study to determine the feasibility and design limitations of a microstrip reflectarray antenna are presented. This antenna, which has been proposed as a means to provide potential low-cost corporate-fed phased arrays, utilizes microwave integrated circuit techniques to integrate the radiating element, phase-shifter components ...

Characterizing reflectarray antennas radiation performance
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/CNC/URSI North American Radio Sci. Meeting (Cat. No.03CH37450), 2004A reflectarray utilizes key features of reflector antennas and phased array antennas by allowing a feed to illuminate its planar main reflector's array elements to produce a collimating beam. Consequently, this mechanism eliminates the feed-network as required in phased-array antennas.

Micromachined reconfigurable planar reflectarray antenna
2nd European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2007), 2007In applications such as target tracking the ability to steer the radiation pattern produced by an antenna is required. This can be achieved using reconfigurable reflector antennas based on a planar array of dipole elements immersed in a circularly polarised field.

Novel Photonically-Controlled Reflectarray Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2006A novel method for generating a reconfigurable reflectarray based on the creation of photoinduced plasma inside the semiconductor substrate of a reflectarray is presented in this paper. A reflectarray antenna prototype is fabricated and measured to demonstrate the validity of the design methodology.

In this paper, we present the design of metallic reflectarray antennas consisting of convex nonresonant elements to radiate multiple beams with optimum radiation gains and relatively orthogonal overlapping. In particular, an antenna is realized at 38 GHz

A six-band reflectarray antenna
2009 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2009This paper presents a reflectarray configuration which supports the operation of six frequency bands. The proposed reflectarray has two substrate layers and each layer accommodates array elements of three frequency bands. Reflection phase curves of the array elements of different frequency bands are simulated.

Low Cross-Polarization Reflectarray Antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2011A low cross-polarization center-fed microstrip reflectarray antenna is presented. The cross-polarization elimination is accomplished by a particular arrangement of the elements. Using this technique, a center-fed reflectarray antenna has been designed at center frequency of 11.7 GHz.

Capabilities of printed reflectarray antennas
Proceedings of International Symposium on Phased Array Systems and Technology, 2002This article presents an advanced antenna technology, namely the printed reflectarray, that has the potential for providing an enhanced communication capability with relatively low cost, small size and small mass. It has application in the commercial and military arenas as well as in space exploration.
