Single‐Layer Reflectarray Providing Broadband Linear‐to‐Circular Polarization Conversion
ABSTRACT This paper introduces a single‐layer reflectarray (RA) design capable of converting incoming linearly polarized waves into outgoing circularly polarized ones while focusing the beam. The design employs nonresonant unit cells, extending the classical concept of meander‐line polarizers.

Systematic Framework for Reflectarray Synthesis Based on Phase Optimization
A new systematic synthesis framework for reflectarray antennas is discussed. Optimization based on the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used to obtain the phase distribution of the reflection coefficients required on the reflectarray surface, in order to

An Inhomogeneously‐Loaded Diaphragm in a Microwave Rectangular Waveguide
This study presents a method to control resonant transmission in a dielectric‐loaded slot within a thick conducting diaphragm embedded in a rectangular waveguide. By introducing a gap with a different dielectric constant, we can manipulate the overlap of Fabry–Perot and Fano resonances, demonstrating potential applications as a bandpass filter with a ...

Mechanically Reconfigurable, Beam-Scanning Reflectarray and Transmitarray Antennas: A Review
We review mechanically reconfigurable reflectarray (RA) and transmitarray (TA) antennas. We categorize the proposed approaches into three major groups followed by a hybrid category that is made up of a combination of the three major approaches.
