Hollow core Bragg fiber with antiresonant intermediate layer
By means of the transfer matrix method, the optical properties of fibers with a distinct intermediate layer between a hol-low core and periodic cladding are calculated. The periodic cladding consists of two types of the alternating layers.

Engineering transverse Bragg resonance waveguides for large modal volume lasers [PDF]
We recently analyzed a new class of laser amplifier based on transverse Bragg reflection. We show that the unique properties of Bragg confinement make it possible through modal loss discrimination to achieve single-transverse-mode operation with ...

Input-output relations for a 3-port grating coupled Fabry-Perot cavity [PDF]
We analyze an optical 3-port reflection grating by means of a scattering matrix formalism. Amplitude and phase relations between the 3 ports, i.e. the 3 orders of diffraction are derived.

Magnetic and microwave absorption properties of barium hexaferrite doped with La3+ and Gd3+ [PDF]
In this paper, BaLaxGdxFe12-2xO19 (x=0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8) were synthesized via sol-gel auto-combustion method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) of samples was represented that the bands at 400 and 500 cm-1 were related to the formation ...
