Effects of arousal and natural baroreceptor activation on the human muscle stretch reflex
The nociceptive flexion reflex is inhibited during systole; this inhibition may be due to increased baroreceptor stimulation. It is yet to be determined whether other spinal reflexes are similarly modulated across the cardiac cycle.

This study demonstrates, for the first time, the use of a large‐format high‐pressure press to modify synthesized Li2SrSiO4:Eu2+,Cs+ phosphors after its preparation. The pressure treatment results in the formation of new materials with distinctive optical properties, opening pathways for the development of advanced LED devices and high‐performance ...

Lesion Site‐Targeted Microspheres Modulate Nav1.7‐Related Signaling for Osteoarthritis Treatment
Cartilage‐targeted carbamazepine‐loaded WYRGRL‐modified composite microspheres (CBZ/WCOM) anchor to exposed type II collagen in osteoarthritic lesions and release carbamazepine under acidic conditions. This bind‐then‐release platform modulates Nav1.7‐related sodium signaling, Na⁺/Ca²⁺ exchanger‐associated Ca2+ dynamics, and heat shock protein 70 ...

Pectoralis tendon reflex is different from other classic muscle stretch reflexes because of its unique anatomical structure: the longer spinal center of the reflex (C5-T1) and the shorter line of afferent nerve and efferent nerve.

A task dependent change in the medium latency component of the soleus stretch reflex
In comparison to the H-reflex, the task dependency of the human stretch reflex during locomotive and postural tasks has not received a great deal of attention in the literature.

A pro‐inflammatory microglial subset persists after decompression in chronic compressive cervical spinal cord injury and shows enhanced Dnmt3a‐driven m5C signaling. By stabilizing RelA mRNA, this axis sustains NF‐κB activation and postoperative neuroinflammation.

A brain‐targeted nanoparticle enables delivery of a therapeutic nanobody (Nb.29E9) that inhibits pathogenic GSK3β signaling. This intervention restores AMPK/mTORC1/TGFβ homeostasis, attenuates neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, and promotes long‐term functional recovery after ischemic stroke.

Triceps surae fascicle stretch is poorly correlated with short latency stretch reflex size
Introduction: The short latency stretch reflex (SLR) is well described, but the stimulus that evokes the SLR remains elusive. One hypothesis states that reflex size is proportional to muscle fiber stretch, so this study examined the relationship ...

This study uncovers that quercetin naturally targets mitochondria. By coordinating quercetin with Fe3+, we engineer an ultrasmall cascade nanozyme (MCN) with superoxide dismutase‐catalase activities. MCN crosses the damaged blood–brain barrier, scavenges mitochondrial ROS, prevents mitochondrial DNA leakage, and blocks the cGAS‐STING pathway, thereby ...
