Tunable Plasmonic Response of Silver Nanoparticles Entangled in Detonation Nanodiamond Network via Colloidal Self‐Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Detonation nanodiamonds form a network that entangles silver nanoparticles into stable nanocomplexes. The structure can fine‐tune and enhance plasmonic absorption through nearfield electromagnetic interactions but prevents silver particle aggregation. The study shows how the arrangement and concentration of particles affect light absorption, offering a

Ice‐Templated Thermoresponsive Hydrogel Actuators with Fast, Low‐Hysteresis Actuation Cycles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The study demonstrates a synergistic fabrication concept that combines ice‐templating with in situ polymerization to produce semi‐interpenetrating network thermoresponsive hydrogels with aligned porous architectures. The thermoresponsive hydrogels exhibit rapid actuation and recovery, low hysteresis, and improved compressive strength.

Transient Formation of Single Layer Diamond During Friction Force Microscopy of SiC‐Supported Epitaxial Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Friction force microscopy using diamond tips on epitaxial graphene supported by SiC(0001) shows a sharp friction increase. Silicon tips show similar behavior but at lower threshold forces. Atomistic simulations reveal three different friction regimes as normal pressure rises: graphene‐tip interfacial slip, graphene‐tip bonding, and a reversible ...

Direct Patterning of TiO2 Nanotube Bundle Platforms for Viologen‐Enhanced Electrochromism

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study presents a programmable 3D printing‐based anodization platform for rapid, direct patterning of TiO2 nanotube bundles on Ti substrates using chloride electrolytes. The system achieves high‐speed fabrication (1 mm s−1) at low voltages (15–60 V), producing well‐defined nanostructures within seconds.
