Self‐Healing Starch‐Based Ionogels with Hydroneutral Dipole–Dipole Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces starch‐based, conductive, underwater‐healable, and transparent ionogels for soft electronics (SCUTEs). Starch macromolecules are partially substituted with cyanoethyl groups and incorporated with hydrophobic ionic liquid. The polar yet hydroneutral cyanoethyl groups facilitate strong dynamic dipole–dipole interactions that remain ...

High‐Efficiency TADF Dendritic Emitters Enabled by Synchronously Inhibiting Degenerated Triplet Excited States and Structural Relaxation Toward Solution‐Processed OLEDs with EQE Over 33%

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Asymmetrical thermally activated delated fluorescence dendritic emitters are delicately constructed through symmetry breaking strategy, and near‐unity photoluminescence efficiency and excellent reverse intersystem crossing process are achieved via breaking the degeneracy of vibrational levels and boosting the spin flip of triplet excitons.

Tuning Desolvation Kinetics with Perovskite‐Type Ion‐Conductive Modulators toward Low‐Temperature Zn Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A strategy of constructing perovskite‐type ion‐conductive interphase modulation layer is proposed to break down ion‐dipole interactions of [Zn(H2O)x]2+ to promote Zn2+ desolvation and diffusion kinetics against dendrite growth and active water‐induced hydrogen evolution reactions.

Dendrite Formation and Self‐Healing Mechanism in Ionic Liquid‐Based Magnesium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This graphical illustration highlights the importance of operating Mg batteries within a safe operating current density (SOCD) range. Beyond this range, Mg batteries are susceptible to dendrite formation. However, when cycling a dendritic cell with a highly thermally stable electrolyte, a self‐heating effect occurs.

Bio‐Inspired Cascade Photocatalysis on Fe Single‐Atom Carbon Nitride Upcycles Plastic Wastes for Effective Acetic Acid Production

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a novel cascade photocatalysis concept using Fe single‐atom catalysts (Fe@C3N4 SAC) to directly upcycle plastics (PET, PP, PE, PVC) into valuable acetic acid at ambient conditions. Inspired by microbial degradation, the bifunctional cascade photocatalyst combines Fenton‐like oxidation and CO2 photoreduction, as validated by ...
