Peripheral refraction, peripheral eye length, and retinal shape in myopia [PDF]
Purpose: To investigate how peripheral refraction and peripheral eye length are related to retinal shape.\ud \ud Methods: Relative peripheral refraction RPR and relative peripheral eye length RPEL were determined in 36 young adults (M +0.75D to −5.25D ...

Feasibility and Limitations of the Advanced Replica Process for Bioactive Glasses
Periodic 3D‐printed Kelvin‐cell templates enable a controlled advanced replica process for fabricating highly porous glass lattices. Across P45K9, 45S5, and 13–93, material‐dependent differences in coating, burnout, and shrinkage lead to distinct strut morphologies, while comparable final porosities of 83%–88% are retained.

HEA interlayers offer a versatile route for joining high‐performance structural materials. Their compositional and structural design regulates interfacial reactions, suppresses brittle IMCs, and improves metallurgical bonding. Sandwich interlayers further integrate defect healing with precipitation strengthening, enabling improved strength–ductility ...

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...

MODELING PROCESS OF DISTRIBUTION OF LIGHT FLOW IN THE ENVIRONMENT WITH DIFFUSING CENTERS
A mathematical model is developed for calculating parameters of light fluxes propagating through a light-scattering and absorbing medium. Single crystals of paratellurite and germanium with known optical parameters and densities of various absorbing and ...

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,
