Optical Approach to Gravitational Redshift [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
An optical approach begins by interpreting the gravitational redshift resulting to a change in the relative velocity of light due to the medium of propagation in the gravitational field.

Magnetic Force Microscopy Signatures of Higher‐Order Skyrmions and Antiskyrmions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic force microscopy operated under vacuum conditions enables the qualitative identification of higher‐order skyrmions and antiskyrmions in Co/Ni multilayers at room temperature. Distinct stray‐field contrast signatures arise from vertical Bloch lines and complex domain‐wall configurations.

Treatment of Strabismic Amblyopia With Refractive Correction [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Ophthalmology, 2007
To report data on the response of previously untreated strabismic amblyopia to spectacle correction.Prospective, interventional case series.Twelve patients with previously untreated strabismic amblyopia were prescribed spectacles and examined at five-week intervals until visual acuity was not improved from the prior visit.Amblyopic eye acuity improved ...

Ultrastable Photoactive Halide Perovskite Nanocrystal‐Sensitized SnO2 Nanorods for Room‐Temperature NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metal oxide (MOx)‐based NO2 gas sensors typically require high temperatures or ultraviolet light, limiting their practical use. To enable visible‐light activation at room temperature, efficient and stable photosensitizers should be integrated with nanostructured MOx hosts.

Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

An aggressive approach to hyperopia management: a method of maximum use of adaptive reserves intrinsic for the algorithms of natural refractive development

open access: yesРоссийский офтальмологический журнал, 2018
The article is devoted to the management of children hyperopia, focusing on two principal issues: 1) determining the maximum level of hyperopia (according to age and other factors) below which no correction is required, and above which correction is ...
