A solution‐processed distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) film, integrated via block copolymer (BCP) self‐assembly, enhances photon recycling in BiVO4 photoanodes for improved photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance. By tuning lamellar structures using lactic acid and cross‐linking density, the DBR film optimally shifts working wavelengths, boosting ...

This study evaluates the scalability of PQD GNC‐based LSCs for BIPV applications. Experimental data and Monte Carlo simulations predict performance up to 1 m2, achieving a peak power conversion efficiency of 3.17%. The results confirm the viability of these LSCs for energy‐efficient building applications.

Determination of Mid-Infrared Refractive Indices of Superconducting Thin Films Using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy [PDF]
In this work, we present a technique to determine the mid-infrared refractive indices of thin superconducting films using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). In particular, we performed FTIR transmission and reflection measurements on 10-nm-thick NbN and 15-nm-thick MoSi films in the wavelength range of 2.5 to 25 $\mu$m, corresponding to ...

Theoretical analysis of error transfer from surface slope to refractive ray and their application to the solar concentrated collector [PDF]
This paper presents the general equation to calculate the standard deviation of reflected ray error from optical error through geometry optics, applying the equation to calculate the standard deviation of reflected ray error for 8 kinds of solar concentrated reflector, provide typical results. The results indicate that the slope errors in two direction

3D Concrete Printing of Triply Periodic Minimum Surfaces for Enhanced Carbon Capture and Storage
A 3D‐printable and carbon‐capturing concrete is developed by replacing cement with diatomaceous earth (DE), which enhances rheology, provides hierarchical porosity, and serves as a nucleation site for carbonation. Maximum absorption of 488.7 gCO2 kgcement−1 is achieved in 7 days, a 142% increase over conventional concrete, and the triply periodic ...

Refractive error accuracy and user perceptions of a smartphone home-based tester
Background: Uncorrected refractive error accounts for nearly half of the global burden of vision impairment. The EyeQue personal vision tracker (EPVT) was created as a convenient smartphone refractometer to be used at home and order spectacles online ...
