Generalized Eaton Lens at Arbitrary Refraction Angles [PDF]
We extended the refraction angle of the Eaton lens into arbitrary angles. The refractive index of the Eaton lens is not analytical and can be obtained by numerical calculations only except in the case of the retroreflector. We introduced an approximation for the refractive index of the generalized Eaton lens.

Measuring the Refractive Index of Highly Crystalline Monolayer MoS2 with High Confidence
Monolayer molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) has attracted much attention, due to its attractive properties, such as two-dimensional properties, direct bandgap, valley-selective circular dichroism and valley Hall effect.

Surface‐attached multilayer micromagnet systems are fabricated by two‐photon crosslinking. The pillar‐shaped micro actuators consist of a soft and flexible surface‐attached cell‐repellent hydrogel layer at the bottom, acting as a hinge and a cell‐adhesive hydrophobic polymer filled with magnetic nanoparticles.

Enhanced Terahertz Spectroscopy of a Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenide
An ad‐hoc engineered metallic surface is employed to perform enhanced terahertz spectroscopy of a monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD). Thanks to a local absorption boost of 104, this technique allows for the extraction of the phonon resonance features and effective permittivity of the 2D material, paving the way for the rational design of ...

Numerical investigation into a surface plasmon resonance sensor based on optical fiber microring
A reflective surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor based on optical fiber microring is proposed. In such a sensor, plasmons on the outer surface of the metallized channels containing analyte can be excited by a fundamental mode of a thin-core fiber (TCF)

Optical Hydrogen Sensing Materials for Applications at Sub‐Zero Temperatures
This study demonstrates the viability of optical hydrogen sensors at temperatures as low as −60°C. Using advanced metal hydride materials, the sensors detect hydrogen with high sensitivity, speed, and stability across a wide range of concentrations. These findings open doors for safe hydrogen detection in extreme cold, enabling applications in aviation,

Vivid Structural Coloration in Transparent MXene‐Cellulose Nanocrystals Composite Films
Vivid structural coloration in reflectance and high transparency in transmittance modes are observed in biopolymer‐layered composite films. The ultrathin multilayered structures have unique optical appearance, near‐infrared bandgap, and strong optical reflection caused by alternating MXene and cellulose nanocrystals layers with high refractive index ...
