Study of a silica glass SiO2-Na2O refractive index to fabrication of fiber optic with Brewster method

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Theories and Applications, 2019
One of the critical parameters in the fabrication of fiber optic is refractive index value from the fiber optic material. That is because the main requirement phase of critical angle on the fiber optic waveguide is a core refractive index higher than the

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Palm Cooking Oil Refraction Index Measurement Using Single Slit Fraunhofer Diffraction Method

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Dasar, 2015
Palm cooking oil refraction index measurement has been done in several temperature using single slit Fraunhofer diffraction method. Ratio between diffraction patterns at the air dan solution medium can be used to determine its refraction index.

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Influence of Refractive Index to Plasmonic Interferometric Imaging

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2021
Plasmonic interferometric imaging has been widely used for fast and label-free detection to nano-objects, which associates the interference between launched and scattered surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs).

Risk of Retinopathy Associated with Long‐Term Use of Hydroxychloroquine in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We aimed to estimate the prevalence and cumulative incidence of hydroxychloroquine retinopathy (HCQ‐R) and its risk factors among long‐term HCQ users with rheumatic diseases through a systematic review and meta‐analysis of observational studies that used spectral‐domain OCT (SD‐OCT) for screening. Methods A systematic search of PubMed, Scopus,
