Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Light‐Actuated Fiber‐Climbing Inchworm Robot Toward Endoluminal Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A kirigami‐inspired soft inchworm robot harnesses optical energy from a customized side‐emitting optical fiber, guaranteeing its propulsion along the fiber body. The wavelength‐selective responsiveness of dye‐functionalized liquid crystal elastomers and the application of temporal illumination patterns enable sequential control of robot components. The

Radar quantification, temporal analysis and influence of atmospheric conditions on a roost of American Robins (Turdus migratorius) in Oklahoma

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, 2019
Radar observations present a way to monitor large, mobile populations across long temporal scales, and are especially valuable when individual scatterers are challenging to count visually.

Dual‐Mode Magnetic Elastomer for On‐Demand Motion and Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐mode magnetic elastomer is introduced, enabling DC field‐driven programmable actuation and AC field‐driven magnetothermal degradation. GHz‐range magnetic fields generate ultrafast heating of magnetic nanoparticles that activates cleavage of the silicone elastomer matrix.

Performance Analysis of Tropospheric Radio Refractivity along with Refractivity Gradient and Effective Earth Radius in the Coastal Zone of Nigeria

open access: yesUMYU Scientifica Journal
Radio refractivity is the ratio of the velocity of radio waves in a specific medium to that in free space.  Radio waves propagate according to variations in tropospheric radio refractive index.

Coastal atmospheric effects on microwave refractivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Sharp vertical gradients within thermodynamic profiles in the atmospheric boundary layer (BL) create abrupt changes in refractivity, thereby impacting electromagnetic (EM) wave propagation.

High‐Index, Low‐Loss Optical Material Platforms for Ultra‐Broadband Ultraviolet‐to‐Visible Achromatic Metalenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An integrated material platform combining engineered SiNx thin films and printable ZrO2 nanoparticle‐embedded resin enables broadband achromatic metalenses from the ultraviolet to visible range. The demonstrated meta‐optics achieve near‐diffraction‐limited focusing with minimal chromatic aberration.
