Oxidation Behavior of Refractory AlNbTiVZr0.25 High-Entropy Alloy [PDF]
Oxidation behavior of a refractory AlNbTiVZr0.25 high-entropy alloy at 600–900 °C was investigated. At 600–700 °C, two-stage oxidation kinetics was found: Nearly parabolic oxidation (n = 0.46–0.48) at the first stage, transitioned to breakaway oxidation (n = 0.75–0.72) at the second stage.

Homogenization of TiVTaNb refractory high-entropy alloy
Homogenization of refractory high entropy alloys (RHEAs) usually requires very high annealing temperatures and long periods due to the high melting temperature of alloying elements and the sluggish diffusion effects. TiVTaNb is a typical RHEA with excellent mechanical properties.

Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Properties of Refractory Mo-Nb-V-W-Ti High-Entropy Alloys
High-entropy alloys can either be defined as solid solution alloys containing at least five elements in equiatomic or near-equiatomic composition, or as alloys with high configurational entropies (larger than 1.5R), regardless of the number of elements ...

Recent Progress with BCC-Structured High-Entropy Alloys
High-entropy alloys (HEAs) prefer to form single-phase solid solutions (body-centered cubic (BCC), face-centered cubic (FCC), or hexagonal closed-packed (HCP)) due to their high mixing entropy.

The effect of processing route on properties of HfNbTaTiZr high entropy alloy [PDF]
High entropy alloys (HEA) have been one of the most attractive groups of materials for researchers in the last several years. Since HEAs are potential candidates for many (e.g., refractory, cryogenic, medical) applications, their properties are studied ...

Corrosion behavior of Hf0.5Nb0.5Ta0.5Ti1.5Zr refractory high-entropy in aqueous chloride solutions
The Hf0.5Nb0.5Ta0.5Ti1.5Zr refractory high-entropy alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in the 3.5 wt% NaCl solution is identified in this work. This refractory high-entropy alloy exhibits much better general corrosion resistance than that of the ...
