High Radiation Resistance in the Binary W‐Ta System Through Small V Additions: A New Paradigm for Nuclear Fusion Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Refractory High‐Entropy Alloys (RHEAs) are promising candidates for structural materials in nuclear fusion reactors, where W‐based alloys are currently leading. Fusion materials must withstand extreme conditions, including i) severe radiation damage from

Biomaterial design strategies for enhancing mitochondrial transplantation therapy

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Biomaterials to facilitate mitochondrial transplantation therapy: biomaterials as barriers to protect mitochondria from pathophysiological microenvironments, like osmotic stress caused by the excessive concentration of calcium ion, reactive oxygen species, and advanced glycation end products; biomaterials integrating with biochemical cues to improve ...

Targeting neutrophil extracellular traps in metabolic and immune niche: Nanomaterials for diabetes tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.

Enhancing the d–Electrocatalytic Activity of MXene Through Defect Engineering

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Applications of MXene. ABSTRACT Due to their versatile and tunable surface and bulk chemistry, MXenes have great potential as electrocatalysts for batteries and supercapacitors. When compared with other electrocatalytic processes, in electrocatalytic reactions, MXenes could improve ion diffusion and charge transfer by either providing functional groups

Threshold displacement energies in refractory high-entropy alloys

open access: yesPhysical Review Materials
Refractory high-entropy alloys show promising resistance to irradiation, yet little is known about the fundamental nature of radiation-induced defect formation. Here, we simulate threshold displacement energies in equiatomic MoNbTaVW using an accurate machine-learned interatomic potential, covering the full angular space of crystal directions.

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy at a Crossroads: Translational Gap and Emerging Delivery Agents

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This review surveys recent advances in boron delivery agents for BNCT, emphasizing the shift from classical small molecules to multifunctional nanocarriers and theranostic systems. By integrating targeting, imaging, and therapy, next‐generation boron compounds aim to bridge the gap between (bio)chemical innovation and clinical translation.
