β‐Adrenergic Signaling Promotes Anti‐Tumor Immunity in TP53‐mutant Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
β‐adrenergic stimulation enhances anti‐tumor immunity in TP53‐deficient oral squamous cell carcinoma by inducing tumor‐derived secretion of CXCL10, which attracts and activates cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. The findings demonstrate that β‐adrenergic signaling alters tumor–immune interactions via CXCL10‐mediated paracrine activation, revealing a neuro‐immune ...

Melting of multicomponent, refractory alloys in an induction furnace under gas‑vacuum conditions

open access: yesЛитьë и металлургия
The paper considers the advantages of induction melting in a vacuum environment, ensuring the production of high‑alloy alloys based on refractory components, free from harmful impurities with specified properties. The processes occurring in alloys during

A Glucose‐Responsive Intelligent Antibacterial and Oxygen‐Producing Hydrogel Promotes the Healing of Diabetic Wounds by Regulating Cellular Heterogeneity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We have developed a glucose‐triggered on‐demand drug delivery CF‐CPGaMPN hydrogel based on borate ester bonds. It inactivates microbes, releases oxygen, and enables on‐demand drug release in high‐glucose environments to promote healing of diabetic wounds. Single‐cell sequencing reveals that the CF‐CPGaMPN hydrogel significantly alleviates dysfunctional

High-Pressure Torsion: A Path to Refractory High-Entropy Alloys from Elemental Powders

open access: yesMetals
For the first time, the refractory high-entropy alloys with equiatomic compositions, HfNbTaTiZr and HfNbTiZr, were synthesized directly from a blend of elemental powders through ten revolutions of high-pressure torsion (HPT) at room temperature.

Displacive In‐Plane Ferroelectricity with Domain‐Specific Curie Temperature in Van der Waals Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temperature‐dependent electron diffraction on tin monochalcogenides demonstrates a gradual displacive transformation between ferroelectric and paraelectric phases with significant variability in lattice constants and Curie temperature (TC). Periodic variations exist even between domains in individual crystals, implying a domain‐specific Curie ...

DOTA‐grafted Cationic Polymers Behaving as Powerful Macromolecular Resistance‐reversal Agents (MRRAs) Combating Against New Delhi Metallo‐β‐lactamase (NDM)‐producing Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two macromolecular resistance‐reversal agents (MRRAs)—linear (MRRAL) and nanostructured (MRRAN) polymers were fabricated by integrating DOTA motifs into tunable polycationic scaffolds. MRRAs exhibit superior antibacterial potency once combined with meropenem (MEM) through (i) bacterial membrane disruption via localized cationic charge and ...

An Enzyme‐Like Catalyzed Nanosheets for Redox Stress Oscillation Therapy Against Bacterial Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bacterial biofilms form a physicochemical barrier. Their dense network structure and redox homeostasis confer high resistance to antimicrobial treatments and immune‐mediated killing and clearance. In this study, SnSe nanosheets with enzyme‐like properties and piezoelectric catalysis can oscillate to regulate bacterial redox homeostasis and improve the ...

Solid-solution strengthening in refractory high entropy alloys

open access: yesActa Materialia, 2019
Abstract Compression stress-strain curves of a number of refractory high entropy alloys (RHEAs) were generated at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 1000 °C. It is shown that solid-solution strengthening in these alloys has both an athermal and a thermal component.
