This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Construction of New Fractional Repetition Codes from Relative Difference Sets with λ=1
Fractional repetition (FR) codes are a class of distributed storage codes that replicate and distribute information data over several nodes for easy repair, as well as efficient reconstruction.

Arginine methylation can be viewed as a persistence‐prone post‐translational modification regulated by a network of PRMTs. Competitive and compensatory interactions among PRMTs can redistribute methylation across substrate pools shaped by sequence, structural, spatial, and environmental layers, reinforcing RNA‐processing, chromatin, and signaling ...

Expression of the Adrenoleukodystrophy Protein in the Human and Mouse Central Nervous System
The gene mutated in X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a progressive demyelinating disease, codes for a protein (ALDP) involved in very-long-chain fatty acid (VLCFA) transport.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

A Family of Optimal Linear Functional-Repair Regenerating Storage Codes
We construct a family of linear optimal functional-repair regenerating storage codes with parameters {m,(n,k),(r,α,β)}={(2r−α+1)α/2,(r+1,r),(r,α,1)} for any integers r,α with 1≤α≤r, over any field when α∈{1,r−1,r}, and over any finite field Fq with q≥r−1

Repair of neuronal DNA damage in Alzheimer's disease by KCL‐286. (A) Amyloid‐β oligomers and plaques impair neuronal DNA repair pathways, leading to DNA double‐strand breaks and glial activation. (B) KCL‐286 activates RARβ/RXR signalling via retinoic acid response elements (RAREs), associated with increased BRCA1 expression, enhanced DNA repair and ...
