Research on coupled heat transfer of film cooling in LOX/GH2 thrust chambers
To better understand the performance of gaseous film cooling near the injector region in the LOX/GH2 thrust chambers, a methodology is employed to simulate the coupled heat transfer of the film cooling in thrust chambers with regenerative cooling.

Regenerative partition structures [PDF]
We consider Kingman's partition structures which are regenerative with respect to a general operation of random deletion of some part. Prototypes of this class are the Ewens partition structures which Kingman characterised by regeneration after deletion of a part chosen by size-biased sampling.

The Janus membrane integrates a superhydrophilic CNF@CTAB‐MXene layer with a superhydrophobic PTFE layer, enabling efficient solar‐driven water evaporation and electricity generation. It achieves an evaporation rate of 1.51 kg m−2 h−1 with excellent salt resistance and long‐term stability.

A self‐sustaining solar photoelectrochemical cell (SS‐PEC) is developed to recover uranium from aqueous UO22+ with concurrent organic oxidation and electricity production. The monolithical photoanode directly captures electrons from organic compounds, leading to the oxidation of organic compounds and the decomposition of uranium‐organic complexes ...

Regeneration experiments below 10K in a regenerative-cycle cryocooler [PDF]
At temperatures below 10K, regenerative cycle cryocoolers are limited by regeneration losses in the helium working fluid which result from the decreasing heat capacity of the regenerating material and the increasing density of helium.

A maser based on dynamical backaction on microwave light [PDF]
The work of Braginsky introduced radiation pressure dynamical backaction, in which a mechanical oscillator that is parametrically coupled to an electromagnetic mode can experience a change in its rigidity and its damping rate. The finite cavity electromagnetic decay rate can lead to either amplification or cooling of the mechanical oscillator, and lead

In this article, Hojin Kim, Sayan Deb Dutta, and co‐workers report a shape‐reconfigurable, 3D printable, and highly adhesive slime‐like ‘electronic skin’ or ‘E‐skin’ patch for human health sensing and tissue engineering applications. The dual reinforcement of hydrogel patch with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) improve the ...
