An application of gap regenerator/expander precooled by two stage G-M refrigerator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The degradation of regenerator effectiveness below 10K is due to the imbalance of the heat capacity of the regenerator material and helium gas as a working fluid.

A Highly Adaptable Hydrogen Bond Re‐Orientation (HyBRO) Strategy for Multiscale Vasculature Fabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel hydrogen bond re‐orientation (HyBRO) strategy enables three‐dimensional (3D) printing of vascular microchannel networks with high accuracy. By switching sacrificial material interactions with nonsolvents, HyBRO prevents swelling and deformation, enabling accurate hierarchical channels spanning a tenfold size range.

Preliminary evaluation of a heat pipe heat exchanger on a regenerative turbofan [PDF]

open access: yes
A preliminary evaluation was made of a regenerative turbofan engine using a heat pipe heat exchanger. The heat exchanger had an effectiveness of 0.70, a pressure drop of 3 percent on each side, and used sodium for the working fluid in the stainless steel

Structured Light Projection Using Image Guide Fibers for In Situ Photo‐biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐based biofabrication is typically performed with single wavelength light sources and within benchtop devices. This work demonstrates FaSt‐Light (Fiber‐assisted Structured Light) as a new approach to achieve multiwavelength image projection using flexible image guide fibers, which enables a variety of applications for in situ biofabrication ...
