Testing of regeneratively cooled light-weight panel
31st Joint Propulsion Conference and Exhibit, 1995Two types of actively cooled light-weight panels for use in scramjet engines were fabricated. They were made of Hastelloy X, and the photo-etching method was applied for constructing many cooling passages in these panels. One type of panels had a honeycomb structure which was brazed at the back of the panel for reinforcement.

Regenerative cooling for liquid rocket engines
Journal of Thermal Science, 1995Heat transfer in the thrust chamber is of great importance in the design of liquid propellant rocket engines. Regenerative cooling is an advanced method which can ensure not only the proper running but also higher performance of a rocket engine. The theoretical model is complicated, it relates to fluid dynamics, heat transfer, combustion, etc...

Performance evaluation of regenerative cooling/film cooling for hydrocarbon fueled scramjet engine
Acta Astronautica, 2018Abstract Thermal protection is considered to be a significant challenge for scramjet engine. In this paper, a combined cooling method which combines film cooling (F.C.) with regenerative cooling (R.C.) instead of single regenerative cooling for hydrocarbon fueled scramjet engine by using gaseous hydrocarbon fuel coming out of the cooling channel exit

Automation of regenerative compressor cooling system using microcontroller
2015 International Conference on Circuits, Power and Computing Technologies [ICCPCT-2015], 2015Since there is a need for enhanced efficiency system in power generation, regenerative compressor cooling has become a savior for the existing limited resources. The compressed air, commonly called industry's fourth utility, that is condensed and contained at a pressure greater than the atmosphere.

Propellant feed system of a regeneratively cooled scramjet
Journal of Propulsion and Power, 1991An expander cycle for an airframe-integrated hydrogen-fueled scramjet is analyzed to study regenerative cooling characteristics and overall specific impulse. Below Mach 10, the specific impulse and thrust coincide with the reference values. At Mach numbers above 10, a reduction of the specific impulse occurs due to the coolant flow rate requirement ...

Structural Analysis of Gas Generator Regenerative Cooling Chamber
Transactions of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers A, 2007Elastic-plastic structural analysis for regenerative cooling chamber of gas generator was performed. Uniaxial tension test was conducted for STS316L at room and high temperature conditions to get the material data necessary for the structural analysis of the chamber which was operated under thermal load and high internal pressure.

Optimal operation of regeneratively cooled fixed bed reactors
AIChE Journal, 1971A regeneratively cooled fixed bed reactor, shown in Figure 1, consists of two sections alternating roles as reactor and heat regenerator by periodic flow reversals. The reactor can have any desired diameter because the cooling "Occurs strictly by regeneration.
