About quasi-renewal processes and quasi-regenerative processes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We discuss the concepts of quasi-renewal and quasi-regenerative processes. We also propose a method for obtaining the upper bounds for the convergence rate of the distribution of a regenerative and quasi-regenerative process to a stationary distribution, if this process is ergodic.

Numerical framework of hybrid nanofluid over two horizontal parallel plates with non-linear thermal radiation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermofluids, 2023
Significance of study: High combustion temperatures necessitate appropriate cooling systems in the combustion process. Regenerative cooling is used in the majority of chambers in liquid propellant engines.

Overcoming Bifurcation Instability in High-Repetition-Rate Ho:YLF Regenerative Amplifiers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We demonstrate a Ho:YLF regenerative amplifier (RA) overcoming bifurcation instability and consequently achieving high extraction energies of 6.9 mJ at a repetition rate of 1 kHz with pulse-to-pulse fluctuations of 1.1%. Measurements of the output pulse energy, corroborated by numerical simulations, identify an operation point that allows high-energy ...

Active suppression of temperature oscillation from a pulse-tube cryocooler in a cryogen-free cryostat: Part 1. Simulation modeling from thermal response characteristics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
A cryogen-free cryostat cooled using a 4 K commercial GM or pulse tube cryocooler (PTC) displays temperature oscillations caused by the intrinsic working principle of the regenerative cryocooler. To dampen such oscillations usually requires either a large heat capacity or a large thermal resistance.

Regenerative cooling using elastocaloric rubber: Analytical model and experiments

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2020
Caloric materials exhibit significant entropy variations when applying appropriate excitation, pushing forward the development of solid-state cooling systems.

Analysis and multi-response optimization of two dew point cooler configurations using the desirability function approach

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
Due to climate change and hot summers in most of Algeria’s regions, air conditioning has become a thorny issue, resulting in excessive energy consumption.

On some quasi-regenerative reliability system [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The paper investigates the convergence of the distribution of some non-regenerative reliability system with a warm reserve.

STAT3 expression is reduced in cardiac pericytes in HFpEF and its loss reduces cellular adhesion and induces pericyte senescence

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

Performance Analysis of the Multi-Stage Dew-Point Indirect Evaporative Air Cooler

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
In this study, a multi-stage regenerative-cross-flow dew-point evaporative cooler performance is analyzed and compared to the performance of a regenerative dew-point evaporative cooler.
