The Role of Nurse Trees in the Plant Community of Park Grassland: A Case Study in Southern Brazil
Tree species facilitate the assembly of park grassland plant communities by altering environmental conditions and promoting woody and herbaceous species under their canopies. They support biodiversity and have potential for ecological restoration but may contribute to woody nucleation.

A 300 kyr record of past hydroclimate change from alluvial fans in the southern Central Andes
We dated alluvial‐fan deposits at the Sierra de Aconquija in northwestern Argentina. The alluvial fans aggraded and incised in phase with known hydroclimate changes throughout the last ~300 kyr. Abstract Alluvial fans are hypothesised to record signals of past hydroclimate changes in their depositional chronologies and slopes.

Abstract The Pampean flat slab in central Chile and Argentina is characterized by the inland migration and subsequent cessation of arc volcanism since the mid‐Miocene.
