The transient regime of a multiwavelength pyrometer

International Journal of Thermophysics, 1993
The transient operation of a new multiwavelength pyrometer based on a dispersing prism and a Si photodiode array is presented. After calibration, transient tests were performed using a tungsten strip lamp, supplied by a current pulse of 0.3-s duration.

Transient regime of hot carriers in InP

Semiconductor Science and Technology, 1992
A direct numerical method is developed for solving the electron transient coupled Boltzmann equations in the Gamma and L valleys in InP. The complicated shape of the transient distribution function is obtained with a great accuracy. Fine structures of the velocity and the energy are obtained in the Gamma and L valleys when the population of L valleys ...

Dynamics of the transient regime of spaser

Journal of Communications Technology and Electronics, 2011
The dynamics of the nonradiative excitation of plasmons in the surface plasmon amplifier by stimulated emission of radiation (spaser) that represents a two-level quantum dot in the vicinity of the metal (plasmon) nanoparticle is considered. It is demonstrated that the steady-state generation of spaser is preceded by the regime with the oscillations at ...

Induction Motors in Transient Regimes

2001
This chapter deals with the behavior of induction motors operating in the transient regime. The main purpose of transient analysis is to calculate variations in stator and rotor currents as well as variations in torque during the time interval (generally short) in which the drive leaves its old permanent regime to settle down in a new steady state ...

Channel Microband Chronoamperometry: From Transient to Steady-State Regimes

Analytical Chemistry, 2011
Chronoamperometric transient regimes were investigated at a single channel microband electrode during chronoamperometric measurements in a microchannel continuously filled by a redox solution. Simulations were performed by spanning a wide range of conditions according to the geometry of microdevices, flow velocity, and time scale of experiments ...

Pressure Transient Tests and Flow Regimes in Fractured Reservoirs

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2013
Abstract Fractures are common features in many well-known reservoirs. Naturally fractured reservoirs consist of fractures in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks (matrix). Faults in many naturally fractured carbonate reservoirs often have high-permeability zones and are connected to numerous fractures that have varying ...

Thermoacoustics: Transient regimes and singular temperature profiles

Physics of Fluids, 1998
The stationary, periodic solution to the problem of oscillating flow of a conducting fluid, in a duct closed at one end and with periodical mass flow rate at the other end, is known to exhibit a singularity in the mean temperature at the closed end when transverse conduction in the fluid and the duct wall is taken into account, but longitudinal ...

Transient Regimes Analysis for a Diesel Engine

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
A computer analysis has been developed for studying the energy and exergy performance of an direct-injection, naturally-aspirated diesel engine operating under transient load or speed conditions. The model is validated at steady-state operation and incorporates many novel features for simulating the transient response and analyzing all of the engine ...

Quasi-steady-state regime in transient stimulated Raman scattering

Physical Review A, 1987
A method is developed for studying transient stimulated Raman scattering in the quasi-steady-state regime when the input pump field consists of a repetitive periodic sequence of pulses. The method is most attractive for cases where the single-pulse duration is substantially shorter than the repetition time scale, making a straightforward numerical ...

Transient regimes in the growth of large‐diameter crystals

Crystal Research and Technology, 1988
AbstractThe behaviour of crystallization rate and interface position under the change of Czochralski growth system parameters is theoretically and experimentally investigated for the case of large diameter crystals growth. It is shown that the large value of crystal diameter leads to the inertia and nonmonotonic character of system relaxation after the
