Distinct turbulence saturation regimes in stellarators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In the complex 3D magnetic fields of stellarators, ion-temperature-gradient turbulence is shown to have two distinct saturation regimes, as revealed by petascale numerical simulations, and explained by a simple turbulence theory.

THE FINANCIAL REGIME

open access: yesThe Nordic Journal of Aesthetics, 2020
Starting from the premise that the financial regime has become a power in and of itself—a fourth, ‘monetative’ power as it were—this essay gives an account of the ascendancy of finance and the shift from geopolitical to geo-economical order, within which there is no democratic legitimacy and no legal accountability and within which a new class conflict

Separatrix Reconnections in Chaotic Regimes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
In this paper we extend the concept of separatrix reconnection into chaotic regimes. We show that even under chaotic conditions one can still understand abrupt jumps of diffusive-like processes in the relevant phase-space in terms of relatively smooth ...

Why and When Are Evidence‐Based Interventions Adopted in Paediatric Supportive Care? A Qualitative Exploration of the Determinants of Photobiomodulation Implementation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

From deterministic dynamics to kinetic phenomena

open access: yes, 2003
We investigate a one-dimenisonal Hamiltonian system that describes a system of particles interacting through short-range repulsive potentials. Depending on the particle mean energy, $\epsilon$, the system demonstrates a spectrum of kinetic regimes ...
