Lithium Metal Anode Fabrication: Methods, Challenges, and Strategies

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of four representative fabrication techniques for thin lithium metal anodes: extrusion, molten lithium infusion, electroplating, and physical vapor deposition (PVD). ABSTRACT The pursuit of ultra‐high energy‐dense lithium‐metal batteries (LMBs) has reignited the drive to fabricate ultrathin high‐quality lithium metal anodes. This

A Biosourced and Self‐Healable Polymer Electrolyte for Potassium Batteries

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A biosourced lignin‐filled gel polymer electrolyte combines suppressed crystallinity, high ionic conductivity, and UPy‐driven self‐healing for potassium batteries. The optimized formulation sustains long‐term cycling with 97.5% capacity retention after 1000 cycles and preserves electrochemical operation after intentional membrane damage.

Carbonization‐Controlled Porosity and Electron Transport in Molybdenum Oxide‐Carbide/Carbon Nanoflower Anodes

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Carbonization temperature regulates the pore structure of active materials, leading to distinct pore volumes and particle assemblies of MoO2/Mo2C‐C nanoflower composites. These material‐level structural features determine the degree of interparticle contact within the electrode, and thus, the effective electronic conductivity. The optimized M750 sample
